Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the convert.rocks website and browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Convert.rocks provides free online file conversion tools. All conversions are performed locally in your browser — your files are never uploaded to our servers.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service to convert files you do not have the right to process
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable usage
3. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by convert.rocks. You retain all rights to your own files — we never access, store, or claim any rights to files you convert.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that conversions will be error-free or that the Service will be available at all times.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, convert.rocks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Since all processing occurs locally on your device, you are responsible for backing up your original files.
6. Browser Extension
The convert.rocks browser extension is subject to these same Terms. The extension processes files locally and does not transmit data to external servers.
7. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where the service operator resides.
